Conveyor Belting Tracking and Guides in the Cardboard Processing Industries

As large rolls of paper produced on paper machines are initially put into production to turn them into corrugated boxes, they start out on the corrugator machine. The machine creates folds in the paper and glues them together, one layer at a time. These layers are stacked, cut, and scored before transporting to various converting machines, throughout the factory.

The belts on corrugating machines are large and not easy to manage, after a replacement belt is installed, the belts will last a good length of time with the correct guides and tracking.

Our notched PU guides are used in some of the harshest and demanding manufacturing environments. Many industries have found that our notched guides are ideal for cost savings and reducing downtime. Our welding processes stop the guide from coming away from the back of a belt, preventing tracking issues. Belts that are not tracked correctly can wander and crease, creating jams and they will need to be replaced a lot more often.

Traditionally the industry standard is PVC welded guides that can separate in a complete strip, this type of failure, stops the belt maintaining its tracking inside the grooves on the slider beds and rollers. We have helped a number of corrugated and converting plants to reduce this downtime problem, and increasing the life of the belts, and reducing the costs of replacing damaged belts.
